The “craic” begins Noon on Friday, March 5th with the opening of the Festival Charity Auction at the Celtic Crossing.  Nonge Shipman will take to the stage at Nancy Blake’s at 3pm to kick off the live music portion of The Festival followed by DJ Sparrow Letov at 4pm.  DJ Derry McMahon will pick up the musical baton at 6pm in the Glen for a “Wonderland” themed Dance evoking the spirit of Lewis Carroll’s classic tale.  The celebrations conclude on March 21st with the dedication of new, expanded library facilities, Celtic music and dancing.

Prim Perfect Sponsors Designer

House Auction

to Benefit Project Children

 asthorne-manor-on-bundoran.jpg

March 5 bidding will open on the auction of a fully furnished house by Kismet, sponsored by Prim Perfect magazine, which is featuring West of Ireland as their Sim of the Month in their March issue, and Cierra Anatine of Kismet as Designer of the Month.

The fully furnished *Kismet* Ashthorne Manor is on display on Bundoran just north of Nancy Blake’s Pub in the WOI Estate. The model is based on the 14th century manor houses in the Cotswolds region of England. It is in the same Cotswolds theme as the very popular Charingworth Manor, but is sized to fit on a 4096 sqm parcel. The soft, buttery yellow and warm grey colors of this theme are seen in the stonework textures and throughout the interior. The Ashthorne features an impressive entry hall with a split staircase, a roomy living room with fireplace and window seat, large kitchen and formal dining area, and two bedrooms upstairs on either side of the open entry hall. The dining area features an alcove with built-in sideboard. Additional doors in the bedrooms, living room and kitchen provide passage to the other wing via a back porch and balcony.  The home will come fully furnished, and retails in world for approximately $L13,000.

Bidding on the furnished house closes on Saint Patrick’s Day, Wednesday, March 17 as part of the  Festival of Saint Patrick. All proceeds from the auction will benefit the real world charity Project Children.
